An evening of tunes from the Great American Song Book. Plus a bit of blues, bebop and traditional jazz with Scott Sizer on Trumpet, vocals & harmonica. Assembly assisted by pianist Al Harris and Bassist Elaine Gardner-Morales
Since moving to Port Townsend last year, trumpeter and vocalist Scott Sizer has been active on the local music scene. Recent credit include the Olympic Express Big Band, the Unexpected Brass Band, vocalist Tess Teel, The Stardust Big Band, the Dukes of Dabob, the Shaky Barbers, and gigs with Chuck Easton, George Radenbaugh & Kirk Kyukendall.
Now, Scott make his appearance as a leader of his own trio. Swing Street presents an eclectic musical blend of tunes from the Great American Songbook, blended with a bit of blues, bossa nova and bebop, with the emphasis on easy swing at all times.
Elaine Gardner-Morales, aka "Lady Bass," has performed with "everybody who's anybody" on the local music scene, including Olympic Express Big Band, Tess Teel and the Dukes of Dabob to name a few. Her broad-based background and years of experience are a welcome addition to any group she plays with.
Al Harris is one of the outstanding first-call pianists in the area and has likewise performed with "everyone under the sun" on the Peninsula and beyond. Groups he has worked with include the Olympic Express Big Band, Tess Teel, The Dukes of Dabob and many others. His knowledge, inventiveness and sense of swing are in constant demand.
