The Outside Event Sales Manager is a dedicated, revenue-focused role tasked with driving private event growth at The Old Alcohol Plant Inn. Operating as a sales- and account-focused position, this role manages the entire client lifecycle—from outbound lead generation and regional business outreach to venue tours, contract execution, and full administrative event detailing (BEO creation). To account for regional seasonality and lead time, this position is launched under a 6-Month Performance Pilot. Continued full-time
status beyond 6 months is contingent upon building a robust off-season pipeline and achieving cumulative sales revenue benchmarks.
Salary Range
$45,000 COMPENSATION: $45,000 Base Salary + Monthly Tiered Commission Structure

About the Role
A. Outbound Sales & Regional Prospecting (50%)
Execute proactive outbound outreach targeting corporate accounts, regional non-profits, associations, and local businesses
across Jefferson, Kitsap, and Clallam counties.
Conduct professional venue tours and present standardized turnkey packages.
Actively convert inbound inquiries and outbound leads into signed contracts and confirmed deposits.
B. Client Detailing, Account Management & BEO Creation (40%)
Maintain a strict <24-hour response time for all inbound event inquiries.
Serve as the primary client point of contact throughout the entire planning process: collect guest counts, coordinate menu
selections, finalize event timelines, and process client billing adjustments.
Draft, update, and finalize official Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in the system.
Conduct a weekly "BEO Hand-Off Meeting" with the Executive Chef and Event Captain 7–10 days prior to scheduled events to
review logistics.
C. Administrative Alignment & Pipeline Reporting (10%)
Track 100% of lead activity, client communication, site tours, and contract status in the sales intake system.
Participate in weekly revenue pipeline reviews with General Management
Requirements
2–3 years of proven success in hospitality sales, venue sales, or account management.
Exceptional written and verbal client-handling capabilities with strong negotiation skills.
Highly organized with high attention to detail for drafting BEOs and managing multiple event timelines
simultaneously.
Ability to travel locally across Jefferson, Kitsap, and Clallam counties for client meetings and regional networking.
Proficiency with sales tracking tools, web lead forms, digital scheduling, and basic Microsoft Office tools.
