The Old Alcohol Plant is located next to the beautiful Port Hadlock Marina. Our bay view rooms offer scenic views of the Puget Sound and the safe harbor. Take a step back in time while at the same time enjoying modern amenities during your stay at our historical hotel. Our charming venue boasts recently renovated rooms with breathtaking views of the beautiful Puget Sound.
Constructed in 1910, the Old Alcohol Plant building was originally owned and operated by William J. Adams, grandfather of the famous photographer Ansel Adams. The Classen Chemical Company made alcohol out of sawdust at this plant, closing it’s doors in 1913, remaining quiet for 65 years.
We enjoyed our stay. Rooms are spacious and the views are stunning.
I work with the wooden boat school in Port Townsend and this hotel is by far the best in the area. Great staff and big rooms.
Can’t beat the location and the restaurant has amazing food. Looking forward to my next stay at the Old Alcohol Plant.
